Jim Vision Futuristic Mural at NDSM Werf and Mountainous Artwork at Klimmuur Climbing Centre

In 2015 Jim Vision brought his distinctive artistic vision to Amsterdam with two stunning new works—an electrifying futuristic mural at Straat Museum and a breathtaking mountain-inspired painting at Klimmuur Climbing Centre.

A Futuristic Vision at NDSM Werf with Street Art Today

At NDSM Werf for the Kings Spray event, Jim embraced a futuristic aesthetic, transporting viewers into a world of advanced technology, neon-lit landscapes, and dynamic movement. The large-scale mural pulses with energy, combining bold brushwork with intricate details that hint at a utopian or dystopian future.

When the Straat Museum opened they showcased Jim’s work in their new collection, where contemporary street art meets fine art in a huge warehouse sized museum setting. His ability to merge realism with imagination allows the piece to stand out as a visionary take on the future—a theme that resonates deeply in today’s rapidly evolving world.

Freedom in Climbing: A Mountainous Masterpiece at Klimmuur

Meanwhile, at Klimmuur Climbing Centre, Jim has created a painting that perfectly encapsulates the spirit of climbing and adventure. The piece features a mountain merging with a woman’s face, symbolizing the connection between nature, strength, and human perseverance.

The artwork evokes a sense of freedom and exploration, mirroring the experience of climbers as they ascend toward new heights. By integrating organic, flowing lines with the rugged contours of the climbing walls, Jim transformed the space into an evocative piece where art and sport become one.

From the futuristic landscapes of Straat Museum to the mountainous beauty of Klimmuur, Jim Vision continues to push the boundaries of street art. His latest works not only captivate the eye but also inspire viewers to reflect on themes of progress, adventure, and human resilience.

If you’re in Amsterdam, these murals are a must-see—whether you’re an art enthusiast, a climber, or simply someone who appreciates the power of visual storytelling.

Update: Until recently the piece was on show at the now established Straat Museum. We hope to visit Amsterdam again and repaint it with a new style as Jim’s work has evolved since then.
